Almost all gurus and self-help book authors agree; setting goals is the best way to gain momentum in your personal and professional life. But, the topic of “goal setting” can be extremely overwhelming, and every person seems to have a different system or method about what your goals should be about and how you should go about setting and accomplishing them. In this session, I will guide you through defining what you want to achieve and then teach you how to set SMARTER goals that will help you move your life forward in the direction you want to go!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Be able to name benefits of goal-setting and identify some personal and professional consequences of living without structured goals.
  2. Craft short and long-term goals that will help them achieve success by using the SMARTER goal framework.
  3. Know how to identify a vague, poorly-written goal and transform it into a SMARTER goal that is specific, measurable, actionable, risky, time-keyed, exciting, and relevant.
  4. Implement practices and “fail safes” to keep their SMARTER goals in focus so that they will achieve them year after year.
